This attestation must be completed prior to Academy Week to verify you have met all prerequisites required for attendance.
A valid BLS CPR certification is required in order to complete this program and become an EMT. Certification requires passing an in-person skills check-off — we offer two ways to do that, and what you need to prepare depends on which one you pick below.
If you're only scheduling the Skills Check-Off at Academy Week, the training below is required to be completed beforehand:
Course: BLS Provider CPR Online
Cost: $37 (paid directly to the AHA)
Upload your Digital HeartCode® BLS Online Portion Completion Certificate to your CPR Card assignment in place of your full certification.
Confirms your ride along plan, uniform/shipping info, and your acknowledgement of Elevate EMS ride along policies and requirements. Due on the first day of class, along with your remaining First-Class Paperwork signatures.
Download and bring physical copies with you to your ride-alongs in order to collect preceptor signatures — every student needs these regardless of which agency you're riding with.
